Date Places in LA
Monday, September 7, 2009 at 08:24PM Yeah, we know a lot of you don't live in Los Angeles, and we still love you, don't you worry. But maybe some of these ideas will translate into your city or homestead. The key is to make a two-parter date, that's one part activity and then one part sitting and talking. Here's our top 10 list:
1) Griffith Observatory- she will think you are so cool for taking her there and it just got a make over, so it's pretty awesome.
2) Santa Monica Pier- This is a great date place because
there's so much to do. You can play games in the arcade, go on the ferris wheel, or just find a bench and take in the view.
3) Cinerama Dome at the Arclight. Doesn't matter what's playing there. Just matters that you can put your arm around her in the dark. You can grab a drink afterwards at Boho, which is right next door.
4) Huntington Gardens in Pasadena. It's a great day date. You can walk around the romantic gardens and you will seem really smart for taking her there.
5) Malo in Silverlake has dark lighting, so everyone
looks good. Afterwards you can walk around Sunset and get an ice cream cone.
6) LACMA on Wilshire. On Friday nights, they are open til 9pm. Museums are more romantic after dark and less crowded too. If you're not an art buff, you can just walk around and make fun of the exhibits together. Afterwards, go get s'mores at Luna Park on La Brea.
7) Cobras & Matadors on Beverly. We heard one of 'em might have burned down so don't take her to the toasted one.
8) Thai Palms on Sunset. It's not just your average Thai food. They have a guy who performs as Thai Elvis a couple of times a night. It's perfect if you're at dinner and running out of things to say.
9) Hotel Cafe has private-seeming concerts and lots of booze. It's the perfect way to fall in love.
10) Primitivo in Venice. They have a pretty outside patio and the sangria is just strong enough to make her think you are 20% cuter than you actually are.
